Paramount Plus and Show timeThe parent company of has launched a discounted streaming package that bundles the two together, ViacomCBS said on Tuesday, and they’re available at promotional prices for about a month. A plan with Paramount Plus and Ad-free Showtime packaged together costs $ 13 per month, $ 8 less than what you would pay for equivalent services separately. An ad-supported Paramount Plus and Showtime bundle pack (which never has ads) costs $ 10 per month, which is $ 6 less than what you would pay for the two separately.

These promotional prices for packages end on October 20. ViacomCBS has not disclosed what will become of the tariffs once they end, but anyone who signs up for the introductory tariffs is essentially blocking them as long as they remain an active subscriber.

On its own, Paramount Plus costs $ 10 per month ad-free or $ 5 per month with ads, and Showtime’s ad-free streaming service costs $ 11 per month.

Online media service bundles are common among other giants. Disney offers a set of its Disney plus, ESPN More and Hulu video streaming services for a reduced rate of $ 14 per month. AmazonThe $ 13 per month Prime subscription service unlocks a plethora of services, including its Main video service and its Prime Music Catalog of tunes in streaming. And separate companies are working together to bundle offers – Spotify offers Hulu Where Show time video streaming services as discounted add-ons to its own paid premium music subscription.

Paramount Plus marked another new video streaming service to roll out over the past two years, aimed at supporting Netflix just like Disney plus, HBO Max, Apple TV Plus, peacock, Discovery More and others that came before it. Like them, Paramount Plus is hoping that its particular concoction of TV shows, movies, and originals will hook you into its vision for the future of television. But these so-called streaming wars also complicate the number of services you use – and pay for – to watch your favorite shows and movies online.
